More About Serena

	This is me in my first Power Up For Classroom Technology class during summer 1996. I've taken this course every summer since. Thanks to my fantastic Power Up instuctors, I became the El Carmelo school Webmaster in 1997. I'm hoping to make use of this amazing technology both in class and as a communication tool to school parents. Please keep in mind my novice status and give me pointers. I love to learn!
	I married my sweetheart July 19, 1997. This is Greg and I leaving the ceremony as our friends and family blew bubbles. What an amazing sight and feeling to walk through so many bubbles. It tickles! We are very happy. Being married is wonderful!
	My hobbies keep me energized. I enjoy distance running, waterskiing, wakeboarding, mountain biking, dancing, rollerblading, snowboarding, backpacking, and on our honeymoon in Kauai, Greg and I learned how to surf.
	I started teaching as an aide at a preschool in Belmont. After my college degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Psychology, and Family Relations, I taught preschool at the ALSJCC in Palo Alto. Four years later I started my credential for Elementary teaching at San Francisco State. I was hired by PAUSD in 1987 and have been teaching Kindergarten ever since. I love teaching kindergarten and can't imagine changing grade levels.

My husband, Greg and I have now welcomed our second, and last, son into our hearts. There have been many wonderful changes in my life including my working schedule. For the past five school years, I have been teaching with Susie Davidson in a job share program. Next school year I will be teaching four days (MTWTh) and Susie will be teaching on Fridays.
